Babies Prom

This 1 is exciting! We made arrangements to go together with Keira and Lucas but poor Lucas was down with tonsilitis and couldn't join us. So, we met with Aunty Wenli and Keira for brekkie at McDonald's in Funan Centre before walking to Victoria Concert Hall together. We also met up with Biu Yee Carmen, Yee Cheong Marc, Jared and Jaryn.

While there, Uncle Peter (Moore) - the Conductor introduced many different kinds of instruments from wind to strings to percussion....MAH-Let really learnt a lot! She got extremely excited when the strings played and she kept yelling "Mummy, the violins!" and started humming Vivaldi's Spring, motioning as if she's playing the violin. Sigh....if only MAH-Tai brought the camera along to video all these!

When the Flight of the Bumblebee was played, MAH-Let started buzzing. Then she asked if the orchestra was going to play "Joey" (part of Bizet's : Carmen - Les Toreaudors). Uncle Peter used animals and trees to make the children remember the music. He also made the session interesting by inviting some kids to conduct the orchestra, all the children to march around the hall and on stage to see what each instrument is and the sounds they make.

MAH-Tai asked Keira to march along with MAH-Let but she hung on to Aunty Wenli who was tired. Oh well, there's going to be another 1 in March. Hopefully, Keira will be willing to join MAH-Tai and MAH-Let in the activities. Oh, and of course Aunty Shih Lin and Lucas will be able to join us too!

As Aunty Wenli had a camera, she wanted to take a picture of the 2 girls together. But at the end of the concert, both girls were too tired and moody to have their pictures taken. Aunty Wenli only managed to capture a shot of them. Here it is...
