Christmas is traditionally a party hopping event for the MAH-Sters but this year, we have 1 party less to run to since God-Grandparents are away for the holidays! And we're glad that Christmas is over a long weekend this year!
A Christmas dinner is held at the home of the MAH-Sters for the family. It's usually a potluck event, each contributing some yummy makan. What's good'ol Christmas without the traditional stuffed turkey?! Ah Bor (Mel) brought her usual grilled turkey with delicious sauces....slurp! Grand-Aunt ordered a 5kg honey baked ham! It could feed a 100 people! And the MAH-Sters grilled baby-back ribs this time. Something different from our usual roast beef or roast lamb. The barbeque flavoured ribs were absolutely divine...not bad for a 1st attempt! The MAH-Sters also mashed potatoes and prepared lots of vegetables for salad. For dessert, we had a mouth watering ice cream log cake from swensen's contributed by Ah Leh Ben's girlfriend, Aunty Shi Min. There were also oh-so-sweet Australian cherries, nectarines and grapes! What a feast!!!
