Last night, as MAH-Ge had to go to attend a colleague's father's wake in Bukit Batok, MAH-Tai and MAH-Let decided to visit Por Por and Gong Gong in Clementi instead.
And since we were going to be at that area, we dropped by to West Coast Ayer Rajah Food Centre to have our dinner. Flipping through Makansutra, it showed NM Abdul Rahim's Nasi Goreng, Bee Hoon Goreng and Mee Goreng as Don't Try, Regret ah (5 chopsticks).
Got there, the parking was pretty horrendous. Not sure why all the cars lined themselves up at the entrance to the carpark when there are lots more lots at the back! These people are so lazy! Can't they walk a little further to the Food Centre? (Front of car park is closer to the Food Centre)
Anyway, we ordered Bee Hoon Goreng, Mee Goreng and Mutton Steak. I would have preferred Nasi Goreng but MAH-Ge was quite adament about both noodles instead of rice. The Bee Hoon's texture was soft and fluffy, very easy to chew, but the taste was only so-so. Mee Goreng's Mee was soft also, doesn't have the strong yellow mee taste but the overall taste, was ok. Nothing fantastic. And the mutton steak wasn't quite up to standard. I'd preferred eating at the stall somewhere in the middle instead. Oh well, guess the makan matar's taste buds are different from ours! We'd have probably ranked them with only 2 chopsticks. Credit going to the soft Bee Hoon and yellow Mee.
Oh, and by the way, reason why I titled it Power Goreng Goreng is cos when we were there, most of the stalls there branded their food as Power this and power that! But having eaten it, actually, not that powerful leh!
