We Made It to Eric Clapton's Concert!

When we found out that MAH-Let's got the chicken pox 2 weeks ago, we were worried that we couldn't make it to guitar legend, Eric Clapton's concert. We'd been wanting to watch him and bought the tickets immediately when the tickets were on sale.

MAH-Tai then checked with friends (Jennifer & Dave) if they were keen to watch the concert thinking that MAH-Let might not recover by then, or if either MAH-Tai and MAH-Ge might get infected. Thankfully, they were willing to buy over the tickets.

On Friday, when MAH-Let had recovered from her chicken pox and we didn't get infected, we thanked some friends for their prayers, including Jen and Dave. They were so nice to offer back the tickets to us, since we weren't infected. However, we felt that this wasn't the right thing to do and told them that they can still have it, though we'd really love to watch the concert. They were very understanding and they returned us the tickets and managed to buy for themselves the last 2 tickets to the concert! So we all got to go!

However, the concert was a disappointment. We'd expected Eric Clapton to sing his classic hits and more accoustics but he was playing a lot electric and songs from his new album. The music was really loud. Each musician seemed like they were trying to outdo each other. Even the back-up singers sang so loudly that it drowned Eric Clapton's singing! But, I must say, he's a very entertaining entertainer. He proves that he's still a guitar legend with nimble fingers. He only wore a shirt and a pair of jeans without having to change into fanciful costumes! Now, that's what I call a singer with super qualities!

After the concert, we went to East Coast Hawker centre for supper with Jen and Dave! It was raining and it had been a long time since MAH-Ge and MAH-Tai walked with arms on each other's waist sharing an umbrella. So romantic! :) It was a wonderful evening indeed, without any luggage!
