The MAH-Sters celebrated the New Year with the rest of the Singaporean folks...something the MAH-Sters never considered doing before MAH-Let came along. We were at the Marina Bay, welcoming the New Year with many bangs and spectacular fireworks!
We parked our car at Ah Bor's house in Tanjong Rhu, then climb the Sheares Bridge, since MAH-Ge's friend said that the view there is more spectacular and less people. From Tanjung Rhu, we had to climb 2 bridges to get to the site where it's facing the Esplanade. As it was a cool and breezy evening, it was really a lovely walk.
When we got to the bridge, we were aghast to find that there are so many people thronged along the bridge! While we waited for the fireworks to appear (as it was advertised that there were 3 timings which the fireworks would blast from different sites), we looked down and saw that the Marina Bay was not as crowded as on the bridge. It started to rain. 10 mins later, there was still no fireworks. We then made their way down to the Marina Bay side. Once there, we found a nice place by the riverside and sat down. It was more comfortable than having people pushing and shoving us around on the bridge. We could even enjoy an ice cream and drinks while waiting for the fireworks!
