Holiday Fever!

Poor MAH-Let fell ill when we left for our vacation on the 13th Oct (Fri). She came home from school feeling warm. As we thought she might get well, we continued our journey to Malacca. While there, we sponged her to bring her temperature down. It didn't work...Her temperature continued to stay high even when we left for KL the next day. As such, we didn't go out much except to buy medicine from the pharmacies and for dinners with some friends. As it was the weekend, no PDs were available and we had to look for a GP which was opened on a Saturday evening. Thanks to our friends, Ailesa and Adeline who took us around looking for 1 at Jalan Imbi. When MAH-Let's fever still didn't subside on Monday morning, we took her to a PD at Gleneagles Hospital, before heading to Ipoh.

And at the Ritz Carlton in KL...

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in KL. The service there was really personalised and excellent! We felt totally well taken care of by everyone from the butler (yes, we had a butler), the Guest Services Manager to the Chef! Everyone was very concerned over MAH-Let's well-being. In fact, the Chef was the one who recommended that we bring MAH-Let to a PD at the Gleneagles Hospital instead of a GP.

And together with MAH-Tai's friends - Adeline and Ailesa, at Jalan Alor. Can you see the yummy food on the table? This is part 2. Part 1 was at Ngau Kei, where we had very delicious beef noodles. We forgot to take photos there... Here at Jalan Alor, we had satays, cuttlefish with kang kong, BBQ chicken wings, ikan bakar (BBQ stingray) and fruit rojak.

And on Sunday, dinner was with MAH-Tai's other friends Angie (standing next to MAH-Let) and with Peggy and her friend, Chloe. This was another yummy place. Peggy definitely knows our style of food and always brings us to yummy places whenever we are in KL! Hee hee....we forgot to take photos again till we'd emptied all our plates! :P
