Caving in Ipoh!

We headed off to Ipoh on the 16th Oct for 2 nights at the Clearwater Sanctuary again. This time, we were given a room on the opposite side of where we stayed at in June. I must say this side of the lake is more scenic than the other 1. At least, it's got beautiful lotus and a resident monitor lizard which glides by the lake every now and then. MAH-Ge also had an exciting time trying to catch a huge spooky Kalui.

MAH-Tai and MAH-Let having a little chat after the walk in the cave. As the cave was too dark, MAH-Tai fell down while carrying MAH-Let. Thankfully, MAH-Tai only sufferred some scratches and bruises on her knees and nothing happened to MAH-Let. Being mothers, we'll never let our little ones get hurt!

AT MAH-Tai's favourite restaurant in Ipoh - Mun Zhong (Pusing). Boy, was it crowded that evening! Can you imagine there were 3 weddings going on on the same evening? Thank goodness we got a table! And we got to enjoy their entertainment too!

Having dim sum at Kao Li (New Ipoh Town) before leaving. A new place we discovered which was recommended by a friend. Not sure if this is the same dim sum place our friend Ginny goes to too! They serve very succulent stewed duck noodles with lots of beansprouts. They play nostalgic Teresa Teng songs and has karaoke too! Erm...not something we fancy lah. We also had Har Gao and Har Mai (not siew Mai) and the prawns in it are really fresh! The pork with century egg porridge is smooth and yummy too.

This is MAH-Tai's favourite tau huay (bean curd) store. We always stop here for a bowl of tau huay after dinner. This day, we were leaving for Cameron Highlands and MAH-Tai must buy a packet to bring up to the highlands! Apparently, the guy who owns this store used to work in Singapore as a graphic designer before! I'm still missing the super smooth tau huay..."slurp!"
