After watching a TV programme on this new Hainanese hang-out in Toa Payoh Lorong 4, we decided to check out this place. Owned and cooked by Hainanese, we ordered the few Hainanese dishes. The pork chop had a large portion. The sweet and sour sauce was only so so. MAH-Tai still prefers the pork chop from the Hainanese economical rice stall in Clementi.
The Hainanese chap chye wasn't quite up to mark too. Though they had fish maw in it, something different from the other chap chyes.
Lastly, the most yummy was the beef stew. You could taste the tomato puree and the beef just melts in your mouth. This 1 wins top marks. This is even better than Uno's. We'll definitely order this again the next time we go there.
Price wise, it's pretty reasonable with such a large portion. Value for money.
