Cameron Highlands

We love the cool weather in Cameron Highlands. There's really nothing much to do here but we just love the clean and green air!
You might have remembered that we came here last year and discovered Cluny Lodge, which is owned by the Singapore Government. This place is only meant for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Civil Servants get special price for staying here! Too bad, none of us here are civil servants. But it's ok lah. We still get to stay in this beautiful and quiet place! MAH-Tai loves the English feel she gets here...By the way,Cluny Lodge's neighbour is the Sultan of Pahang. Grand right?
Having afternoon tea at Cluny Lodge's dining area

Our bedroom. We'd wanted room 3, the only room on the 2nd level that has a double bed. The other 2 rooms have single beds. But it's ok lah. MAH-Let and MAH-Tai snuggled up together while MAH-Ge had his own bed. Actually, if given a choice to stay here again, we will still choose this room as it's larger. Room 3, though they have a double bed and a single bed, the single bed is separated by a door. If MAH-Por travels with us next time, or when MAH-Let grows older, perhaps, we might "chope" that room. They've got more rooms with double bed options in the basement. But, don't think we'll ever book those rooms.

On the left is the toilet. The ensuite had just been added to this room not too long ago.

MAH-Let with MAH-Ge by the window, which overlooks the playground and lots of green.

Our dinner at Kwan Kei. Most of the steamboat places only charge RM12 or RM18 per person and we thought that this might be the same too. We felt extremely ripped off when we were showed the bill! This steamboat pot is RM45.50! Well, this is the 1st and last time we'll ever eat at this place!

MAH-Let enjoys picking strawberries in Cameron Highlands. She reminded us to go to a strawberry farm when we arrived here.

MAH-Tai's turn to pick. Actually, the strawberries here are not sweet at all. But MAH-Let loves picking, so no choice, got to spend the money for her to pick them.

This was the same man who took us around the last time too!
1 box of half kg strawberries is RM20. The strawberries are small, so you get many. They usually spoil faster than we can finish eating.

At the Bee Farm. MAH-Tai dared not go near them. See the box behind? It's full of bees!
With a BIG bee...
Afternoon tea again...
Playing carrom at the games room.
MAH-Let's spa bath! This is so 70s! Reminds me of myself when I was a child like MAH-Let!
Dinner at T-Cafe. Serving mostly western food. We love their scones! So yummy that MAH-Tai bought the flour mixture from them!
Tiong Kok Lang!
Morning breakfast consisting of cornflakes, 2 sausages, 1 fried egg, toasts and coffee/tea. Can't remember if there was any baked beans. Only RM6 per person. MAH-Let only had to pay RM3! Cluny Lodge serves Lunch and Dinner too. You have a choice to choose Chinese or Western. Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat there. If only we had more days...

We took some pictures before leaving this place. This is the living room on the 2nd floor.

The window on the right is where the games room is, while the rounded windows is the dining area.
Stairs to the playground. Unfortunately, MAH-Let didn't have a chance to play there as it was raining everyday. We were told October through to December is the raining season there. So, got to avoid going at this period the next time!
Nice place huh?
The garden is very well kept with lots of beautiful flowers. MAH-Tai particularly likes this 1 as they look like jagung (maize)...heehee...
Sigh....What luck! MAH-Tai's favourite place is closed. We'd wanted to come here since we arrived on Sunday, but we were a little too late and this place is closed on Mondays. So, on the day that we were leaving on Tuesday, we thought we could have a nice cuppa here but they are closed for upgrading!!! Argh!
Nevermind lah! Cannot drink tea then we'll just take some nice photos here
It really wasn't that cold but MAH-Let enjoyed putting on her gloves. Well, you'll never get a chance to put them on in hot and humid Singapore
MAH-Let was a little grouchy that day
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall...
MAH-Let was moaning a lot about having a tummy upset. We suspected she didn't like the long and windy road down. So we stopped by a tea shop for her to rest before heading down again.
She threw up on MAH-Tai eventually. MAH-Let still looking dazed...
So much puke...eeeeeeew! MAH-Tai would have removed her pants on the spot if MAH-Ge hadn't stopped her!
