Our 9th Wedding Anniversary

How time flies. 9 years of marriage with 2 blessings from the Lord. We thank God for keeping us together and still so in love with each other. We left the kids at the chalet where Shannan was celebrating her 5th birthday, and went for a simple but romantic dinner at Seletar Camp's Sunset Bar and Grill Restaurant. The setting was perfect but then, the mozzies started to have their dinner too. What a damper!
This is the 1st time we've been here and as we'd heard a lot about this place, we'd gone expecting good American steaks and chops. The food wasn't quite fantastic. I would say, I was a little disappointed. The food combination and taste was what you could get at hawker stalls all around. My lamb chops were burnt and tough. They sizzled it with onions. I couldn't quite taste the essence of the lamb as it was too cooked to my liking. MAH-Ge's steak came with coleslaw. Like what you get at the hawker stalls! I guess, the only things there worth complimenting would probably have been the fried mushrooms. Afterall, it's one of their signature dishes (besides the buffalo wings). They weren't as oily as Buckaroo's and were much juicier. The other part worth? That rustic setting. It would have been perfect if the mozzies didn't celebrate the quiet dinner with us.
