Race Day!

MAH-Let and MAH-Ge went for the Kids' Run which was organised by the Singapore Sports Council and Cold Storage, to encourage healthy living through exercise to kids. We registered MAH-Let for this race as she's always so active and loves running about.

MAH-Let's race category was not about winning but more for participation. All children who participated received a medal and a certificate of participation as a form of encouragement. MAH-Let was so happy to receive them!

Unfortunately, MAH-Tai was running a fever and wasn't able to join in the fun. It would have been wonderful family outing. MAH-Ge took as many pictures as he could to show MAH-Tai.

MAH-Let and MAH-Ge were there early in the morning. They had to be there by 8.30am to register for their race. Some of you might know that MAH-Let sleeps late and wakes up late. So, waking her up at 7am in the morning, we thought would have been quite a feat but she was so excited about the race and did not want to miss it that she jumped out of bed the minute we woke her! :D

Look how muddy the field was! They hadn't even started the race!

MAH-Let getting ready...

Look at the throngs of people who were there at the race! MAH-Ge said that the response was so overwhelming that they had to split to 2 groups in MAH-Let's category and each group, there were like a thousand people!

MAH-Let was walking mid way through. MAH-Ge told her to walk instead of running whenever she felt tired.

After walking a little, MAH-Let was recharged. MAH-e showed her the finishing line and told her to overtake the other kids and run to the finishing line. She zoomed past lots of children!

Finally! The finishing line was just ahead!

Well done, MAH-Let! She crossed the finishing line!

It was a hot and humid day! Plus the fact that MAH-Let completed the race! She was all tired out after that...

MAH-Let grabbed the bottle of water and gulped it down

See my medal!

Here's my medal and my certificate!

There was a carnival set up at the race ground but MAH-Let and MAH-Ge only had time to play 1 game before leaving. There were just too many people and each game booth's queue was extremely long. MAH-Let was too tired to continue and requested to be home with Mummy.

MAH-Let wasn't leaving without her favourite balloons!
